For Callers Reporting an Outage
Storms can cause widespread and long-lasting power outages. TECO (Pronounced “Tee-Co”, short for Tampa Electric Company) is responsible for restoring power.
It is important to limit water usage during power outages, as water pressure can drop, causing potential contamination.
Outages or downed power lines can be reported online at https://outage.tecoenergy.com/ or by calling 1-877-588-1010.
On the main TECO website, customers can click the outage map icon in the top right corner to confirm the current outages.
Power Restoration Process
Once the storm has passed and it is safe, a full assessment of the damage will take place, and restoration will begin with crews working around the clock to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
Priority is given to public safety, law enforcement, and essential services. While TECO will work for rapid restoration, please be prepared for extended outages.
