Search for Existing Record
Is this an emergency where you are in immediate danger? If so, please hang up and call 9-1-1.
Thank you for calling to report this. Before we begin, I need to verify whether this has already been reported to us. What is the name of the street or nearest crossroad where this happened? (Search for street in WebEOC)
Already reported and no substantial change:
This has already been reported and is assigned to the appropriate agency.
You can provide info from the description and any agency response details. Call ends here.
Already reported, there is a substantial change, and the record is still in “assigned” status:
This has been reported already, but I’m going to add the new information you’re providing. This may be helpful for the team that’s assigned to address it.
Enter new information in the Issue Description, and any corrections or clarifying details to the Location Information, etc.

I will take down the information you’re providing and also will need to ask you some questions. Then I will send the information for review.

For the WebEOC Issue Description
What is the issue?
What is being affected? If it’s the road, which lanes? If sidewalk, on which side(s) of the road?
Are people able to get around it, or would they have to find another way?
Is it affecting power poles or power lines? If yes, please describe this. If yes, has TECO (Pronounced “Tee-Co”, short for Tampa Electric Company) been notified?
NOTE: If Power Lines are involved, choose Power/Line Down as the Event Type in WebEOC. This routes the request to TECO first, as they must address the power lines before any other work can be done.
Are any first responders onsite? If yes, which agencies?
Examples: Tampa Police, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Ambulance, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue
Is there any other information we should know about this?
(if caller is law enforcement), what is the event number?
If caller is a law enforcement representative AND is requesting a road closure, also ask:
Where does the road closure need to start and end?
Get landmarks or beginning and ending intersections.
If there is more than one intersection or address involved, just enter one of them in the “Exact Address or Intersection” field, but document the whole location scenario/details in the “Issue Description” box.)
Who is point of contact on site? (Get name and phone number)
How many cones and/or barricades are needed?
How many road closure signs are needed?
What is the Event Number?
